Using Fuel Signal
Short version: Fuel Signal estimates what a load is worth to you from public fuel and routing data and from the numbers you give it. The estimates are our best work and they are still estimates — you decide whether to take the load. Use the site honestly, and you can stop at any time.

Who you are agreeing with
Fuel Signal is operated by Logixtecs Solutions LLC (“we”, “us”). These terms cover fuel.freightsignal.ai and anything you reach from it. They are an agreement between us and you — and, if you are using it for a company, that company as well.
Questions about any of this go to [email protected].
Agreeing to them
You agree to these terms by using the site — including by pressing the Google button to sign in, which is why that button says so. If you do not agree with something here, the honest thing is not to use it, and to tell us what the problem was.
Our privacy policy is part of this agreement. It says exactly what we collect and what we do not.
What Fuel Signal does, and what it is not
It estimates the cost and the net of a load: diesel along the route, your driver, your overhead, tolls, the empty miles to the pickup, and where to stop for fuel. It also publishes the national diesel surcharge figure from the U.S. Department of Energy’s weekly price.
It is not advice — not financial, legal, tax or safety advice, and not a recommendation to take or refuse a load. It is not a fuel purchase, not a rate quote, and not a promise that anyone will pay you. Every decision is yours.
The numbers, and their limits
We are careful with them, and we will not pretend they are certain. Specifically:
- Diesel prices come from truck-stop listings and from the Department of Energy’s weekly average. A listing can be stale or wrong; when we are working from an average rather than pumps on your route, the page says so.
- Miles and routes come from Google. A real truck route can differ — height, weight and hazmat restrictions are not applied — so the mileage is a car’s mileage.
- Tolls are car tolls. They are real, and they are low for a truck. We publish where the figure came from, and you can override it, including with a deliberate zero.
- Your mpg, driver pay, overhead, tank and reserve are yours. We use what you type. A fuel stop plan assumes the mpg you gave us; terrain, weather, wind and weight all move it, and the plan does not know about them.
- A stop plan also assumes what a stop costs you in time. We show that assumption, and you can change it.
Check anything that matters against your own records before you act on it. If a check is wrong, tell us — that is how it gets better.
Your account
You sign in with Google, and the email address on that Google account is the account. Keep access to it secure: anything done while signed in is treated as done by you. Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using your account.
One person, one account. Do not share a sign-in, and do not sign in as somebody else. If you use Fuel Signal for a company, you are telling us you are allowed to act for that company.
Free and paid
The fuel surcharge calculator is free and needs no account. A free account gets a set number of load checks to start and then a smaller allowance on a rolling basis — the app always shows you what you have left and when the next one arrives, and those amounts can change.
Some features are paid. They stay visible and are marked when they are locked, so you can see what a paid account does before you ask for one. There is no card and no checkout on this site. Paid access is arranged with us directly, and we will tell you the price before anything is owed.
What you put in, and what we do with it
Your lanes, rates, trucks and cost numbers stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them for the one purpose of running Fuel Signal for you — pricing your checks, showing them back to you, and keeping the service working. We do not sell them, and we do not share them to advertise to you. The privacy policy lists every company any of it reaches, and why.
We may use aggregate, de-identified figures — counts and averages that name no carrier and no lane of yours — to understand and improve the product.
Connecting an AI app
You can connect an AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to your account. It then acts on your behalf with the access you granted it, and what it does counts as your use of Fuel Signal. You can disconnect it at any time on your account page, and the next call it makes is refused.
What that assistant does with the results is between you and whoever runs it. We do not control it, and we do not stand behind its wording.
Using it fairly
Please do not:
- scrape the site, or pull data out of it in bulk to rebuild, resell or publish a competing feed — the fuel and routing data costs us money per lookup;
- break, overload, probe or work around the limits, the sign-in, or anyone else’s account;
- use it to break the law, or to mislead a broker, a driver or an insurer;
- copy the site’s design, text or code — except the results of your own checks, which are yours to use however you like.
If something you want to do sits near one of these lines, ask us first. We are a small company, and we would rather say yes on the record.
What we can change
Fuel Signal is early and it changes often. We can add, alter or remove features, and we can set or move limits. If a change takes away something you were relying on, we will say so on the site rather than let you find out by it being gone.
We do not promise the site is always up. It depends on services we do not run — Google, our host, the government feeds — and any of them can have a bad day.
Stopping
You can stop using Fuel Signal whenever you like, and you can ask us to delete your account and what it holds by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that is breaking these terms, attacking the service, or costing us money in the ways listed above — and where we reasonably can, we will tell you why first.
The legal part, said plainly
Fuel Signal is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties — express or implied — that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any estimate will match what a load actually costs or earns.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profit, lost revenue, a load you took or turned down, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim connected to Fuel Signal is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred dollars.
Nothing here limits anything that cannot be limited by law, and some states do not allow some of these exclusions — in which case they simply do not apply to you.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in California.
Changes to these terms
If they change, the date at the top changes with them, and anything that materially affects you will be said on the site rather than slipped in. Using Fuel Signal after a change means you accept the new version.
